Support Wild Warner with a late notice tree planting project at Warner Park. Volunteers will help plant 19 bare root trees that are 6 to 10 feet tall. This is a hands-on outdoor project that will help improve the wooded area and support the long-term health of the park.
Responsibilities
- Dig holes for bare root trees
- Help place trees properly
- Backfill soil around the roots
- Secure trees with one stake
- Assist with general site cleanup after planting
Qualifications
- Comfortable using a shovel
- Able to do physical outdoor work, including digging and lifting
- Willing to follow planting instructions from the project lead
- No previous tree planting experience required
Additional Notes
- Please bring a shovel if you have one
- Some tools and supplies will be available on site
- Dress for outdoor work and wear sturdy shoes
- Bring water and work gloves
