Join us for a hands-on trail work day! Volunteers will help improve and maintain the park’s mountain bike trails by removing invasive plants and repairing trail features like berms and eroded sections. This is a great opportunity for mountain bikers, neighbors, and anyone who enjoys the park to give back and keep the trails in great shape. No experience is needed, and all are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Remove invasive plants along trail corridors
- Assist with repairing berms and eroded trail features
- Use hand tools such as shovels, loppers, and hand saws
- Work alongside other volunteers to improve trail conditions
Qualifications
- No prior experience needed
- Ability to work outdoors and perform light to moderate physical activity
- Interest in trail maintenance, biking, or park stewardship
- Comfortable using or learning to use basic hand tools
Additional Notes
- Meeting Location: Toolbox in the middle of Quarry Park
- Please bring your own tools if you have them (shovels, loppers, hand saws)
- Dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear
