Join us in celebrating Earth Day 2025 by lending a hand at a fun and nature-filled event hosted by Wild Ones and Friends of Hoyt Park! Volunteers will help support a welcoming and engaging experience for all attendees by assisting with setup and cleanup, greeting participants, guiding guests to activity areas, and providing general event support. You may also help with the garlic mustard pull or support the wildflower hike by helping keep the group together and answering questions. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a beautiful spring morning outdoors, connect with others who care about the environment, and make a direct impact on the health of Hoyt Park’s natural areas. Snacks (including hot waffles!) will be provided, and you'll be working alongside a friendly, passionate team.
If you attend the hike, wear clothing appropriate for walking on and off trails in natural areas, such as sturdy boots/shoes and long pants, and dress for whatever the weather throws at us. Ticks or mosquitos may be present, so take precautions as necessary.
