Help bring the Bird and Nature Festival to life by volunteering as a costumed hummingbird ambassador. This fun and engaging role involves wearing a hummingbird mascot costume and interacting with attendees throughout the event, helping create a welcoming and memorable experience for families and kids. Volunteers will rotate shifts to keep things comfortable while keeping the energy high.
Responsibilities
- Wear and walk around in a hummingbird and/or bat costume during the event
- Engage with attendees in a friendly and welcoming way
- Help create a fun, visible presence to draw people into the festival
- Rotate with other volunteers throughout the shift
Qualifications
- Comfortable wearing a mascot style costume and being visible in a public setting
- Height between approximately 5’5” and 5’10” for best costume fit
- Able to walk and be on your feet for portions of the shift
- Positive attitude and willingness to interact with the public
Additional Notes
- Volunteers will rotate shifts rather than wearing the costume the full time
- Costume is provided
- Expect light activity and lots of smiles
