Join the Madison Parks Earth Day Challenge and help care for your parks on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Volunteers will work independently or in small groups at designated parks across the city as part of a citywide Earth Day effort. This is a simple, meaningful way to give back to your community and enjoy time outdoors.
Responsibilities
- Trash pickup throughout the park
- Light raking or stick removal at select locations
Qualifications
- Comfortable working outdoors for up to two hours
- Able to walk on uneven terrain
- Youth (under 14) must be accompanied by an adult
Event Day Notes
- Bags and gloves will be provided at the supply station marked with the EARTH DAY CHALLENGE sign
- No Parks staff will be onsite, volunteers will work independently, some sites may have volunteer leaders and groups directing efforts.
