Plant &
Flower Gardeners are volunteers who care for designated garden areas in Madison
Parks. These may include sign beds, mulched areas, or pre-approved plots
inherited from existing gardeners. Volunteers plan, plant, and maintain flowers
and other vegetation, helping keep parks vibrant, welcoming, and beautiful.
In addition
to traditional garden beds, some Plant & Flower Gardeners work on restoring
or establishing native plantings in prairies, woodlands, and other natural
areas, supporting the long-term health and biodiversity of our parks. This role
is ideal for anyone who enjoys hands-on gardening, being outdoors, and seeing
their efforts bloom over time.
