Volunteers in this role assist with selling event merchandise, answering questions about the event, and helping participants feel informed and engaged throughout the day. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with the public and supporting the smooth operation of a large community event.

Responsibilities

Sell Merchandise: Handle cash and make change while selling Ride the Drive merchandise such as t-shirts, tote bags, water bottles, and other event items. Answer Questions: Provide participants with basic information about the event route, schedule, and activities. Communication: Use the supplied walkie-talkie to stay in communication with Madison Parks staff throughout the shift. Afternoon Shift Duties: At approximately 2:30 pm, help inform participants that streets will reopen to traffic at 3:00 pm. End of Shift: Return the merchandise money bag and remaining items to Madison Parks staff. Safety: Encourage participants to respect private property and follow traffic rules. Follow emergency procedures if needed.
